Hey- this is gonna sound a little weird, but I went to this Suicidal Tendencies gig in Salt Lake back in what I believe was 1986 or 1987... It was in one of those weird side buildings at the State Fairgrounds... Maybe the Horticulture building????? I remember the billing- it was Suicidal Tendencies, Maimed For Life, Clown Alley, and a few other bands... Anybody happen to attend this show? Anybody know what the exact date was????? I'm on an information quest.........

Sun, October 23, 2005 - 7:34 AMWell, I don't know about the retarded poohole part of your post. (I am still pretty happy living in SL.) But I do know the poster and I also know he has led a sad, sad life. He can't seem to get past his glory days of singing for Maimed For Life 20 years ago. -

Mon, October 24, 2005 - 10:03 AMOkay, maybe "retarded poohole" was a bit over the top--I even get homesick sometimes. But in "normal" cities, that fellah would be dead of hepatitis by now. -

Re: Suicidal Tendencies / Maimed For Life / Clown Alley
Tue, November 1, 2005 - 5:14 PMNo in 1981, I lived in Arizona. I lived next door to my best friend and her older brother had a band called SVC. They did Sex Pistols covers and we thought they were funny because they wore torn up clothes and eyeliner to their prom...A couple years later I WAS going to see bands at the Mason Jar, Prisms, and supporting local music down there---bands like Tribal Existence, N.O.S., JFA.
Leave it to Jimi Germ to get online probably for the first time EVER-and start being an asshole...Shit!
We used to be friends germ, remember, when I was 15? Me you and Al and Kirsten would party and all the two of you listened to was NWA while you drove around Salt Lake playing gangster and well of course you weren't around too much since you were often incarcerated, but who wrote letters to you for your entertainment when I was in High School? Who even picked your ass up in my '62 Comet more than once when you were paroled from the Point of the Mountain??? Who came and built puzzles with you at your Dad's when you were on house arrest? Who drove you to your MOm's in Ogden? SHit....You can bag on me not being in Salt Lake in 1981 all you want! I WASN"T THERE__I NEVER SAID I WAS THERE...I SIMPLY REPLIED TO BUDGIE SAYING HE COULD FIND ANDY BROWN on Myspace, and that ANDY had put up a picture of himself at a show in 1981. SO get your facts straight first...By the way, I have a box of zines with your work published in them and if you aren't nice I will NEVER give them to you....ROTFL.....No in 1981, I lived in Arizona. I lived next door to my best friend and her older norther had aband called SVC. They did Sex Pistols covers and we thought they were funny because they wore torn up clothes and eyeliner to their prom...Oh and PS--For the record,, you're right Tonis isn't an OG punker--in fact he hates most of it!
PS Where is Chandra-stein? -

Sat, December 3, 2005 - 12:14 PMHey I remember you from Bandaloops! I used to call them the Massingill Guys which I think John never appreciated although he never said anything. I really liked their first incarnation when they made that little home made tape. I think germ must have been about 9. -

Al and Steve Neves
Wed, December 28, 2005 - 3:42 PMOn the Maximum Rock N Roll web site there is a good picture of Al when he was in Poison Idea. Check it out.

Some nights I miss the days when Neves was my neighbor on Iowa and Pennsylvania Place--Mike Kline lived at the end of the road---Coffee table in the middle--me and Al in the house next to Mr Coffeetable--and Neves around the corner...I won't forget one night an out of hand party got more-so as Neves and the Slug Brothers threw bowling balls down Pennsylvania Place at 4 am...the next day I went out to my 62 Comet to go to work and Tom Papworth was passed out in the backseat....with a sock of pills as a pillow...the infamous "Sock of Love"....anybody know if he ever made it out of the wheel chair?

Re: Suicidal Tendencies / Maimed For Life / Clown Alley
Thu, August 30, 2007 - 4:47 PMWithout "slandering" anyone? I'd say that you've done a good job of that already. Germ and Erica squashed that whole interaction- we just hung out in LA with her by the way. So while you, whomever you are, have passed judgement and rumors why not worry about getting signed up and having a profile made rather than concerning yourself with other people that you clearly don't know. As Germ said, it sure is easy to talk smack behind a blank profile when no one knows who you are. Freedom of speech, you're in-put's welcome- AS IS GERM's-- but why not tell people who you are??

Thu, August 30, 2007 - 4:23 PMSoooo, "unsubscribed" WHO R U???? If you're aware of me, y can't you post your name?? Talking shit anonymously sure is easy isn't it?!! "He can't seem to get past his glory days of singing for Maimed For Life 20 years ago. " Make yourself known....I did.
IN STRUGGLE-
Jimi Germ
PS- if you knew me so well (and my "sad, sad life") you would know what you said isn't true. Maimed for Life was fun-but that doesn't comprise my whole life by any means, and never did- I'm not hung up on it- ask anyone who actually knows me. My history's been well-documented........From NYC,SF,SEATTLE,and LA.....Iv'e lived with the real punks/punx, and have planted my roots into the streets of HOLLYWOOD from 1975 to1980, moving to SLC and forming MASSACRE GUYS in 1980-81, then MAIMED FOR LIFE IN 1983-84. so you still think you know Jimi Germ? u don't know shit!

Mon, January 5, 2009 - 9:29 AMI was at that show, it was 1984 a year after the realeast of Suicidals First Album. i was 15, kissed my first punk rock girl, someone jumped off the stage during maimed for life and landed on my head with combat boots. a sexy girl grabbed me up and took me aside to see if i was ok, we kissed, later on i saw that girl was the bass guitarist of Clown Alley while i was in the pit...
